Shuvankar Maitra born in 1979 in West Bengal. He captures the beauty of nature on his canvas with vibrant color strokes.Maitra's works speaks of minuscule details against deeper backgrounds.His natureworks stand out vividly against their dark backgrounds,making it seem as if the picture is illuminated from within. Every perfect detail is clearly visible and delicately shaded resulting in an attractive panorama extremely soothing to the eyes. Since 1998 to 2013 he participated in several group shows in Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Dubai and Dhaka. Also he had a solo show in Taj Bengal, Kolkata in 2010.
